We’re a proudly Black and Hispanic-owned food truck serving up vibrant, soulful dishes across South Florida. Founded in 2023, our mission is simple: honor our heritage, spark curiosity, and bring people together: one plate at a time.

Our flavors reflect the rich traditions of Jamaica, Montserrat, and Colombia, blending time-honored recipes with modern creativity. From jerk steak quesadillas to oxtail rice bowls and curried potato empanadas, every dish tells a story.

Chef Ron

Co-Founder & Culinary Visionary

Born and raised in the Bronx, New York, with Jamaican and Montserratian heritage, Ron moved to Miami in 2014 to attend Le Cordon Bleu. He later led culinary operations at the Hard Rock Hotel, feeding over 5,000 people daily; including the entire staff. His love for cooking began in the kitchen with his mom: chopping, stirring, tasting side by side. As he took over family meals, he saw how food could create joy and turn any space into a celebration. That spirit lives in every dish he serves today. Ron cooks with heart, and you can feel it in the warmth of every bite.

Robert

Co-Founder, Brand Strategist & Hospitality Lead

With Jamaican heritage, Robert moved to South Florida in 2001 to pursue his Bachelor’s in Accounting and Finance from Barry University, followed by a Master’s in Accounting and Taxation from Nova Southeastern University.  He’s the face you’ll see most often on the truck; serving with energy, warmth, and genuine joy. Behind the scenes, he’s the architect of the brand, blending culture, flavor, and community into everything from event logistics and real estate deals to creative marketing and partnerships.  He’s also the mastermind behind our drink menu. From our signature sorrel to the zesty ginger lemonade, Robert is always experimenting with new blends to complement the food and elevate the experience.

Jon

Tech Lead & Creative Designer

Jon brings the Latin soul and Colombian flavor to our team, helping shape the culinary identity of the truck and the technology behind the business.  He’s the creative force behind our visual brand;  and the one who ensures our look matches our energy. He builds and manages our tech, from the website to online ordering, keeping everything running smoothly. The software he’s built for us for dynamic online ordering is in the process of being launched at Smorgasburg Miami and we hope it will help other small businesses like us launch their dreams like he did ours!
